The Life and Times...

My friend adores the Chinese Proverb: May you live in interesting times. In fact, she too has that on her blog. I want to adopt it...We all definitely live in interesting times whether they are fabulous, exhausting or jinxed. No matter what, let us all live like there is "No Day but Today!"

Audio Book by Yours Truly...

I have been saying that I am going to write a book. I am not sure if I can actually write a book like some of my friends could, but I like to say I am going to try. It seems to me that I might be too ADHD (even though I do not have that) to sit down and write a quality book.

The other day, however, TJ told me I should write a book on cd - or an audio book. He, obviously, was just joking. The weird thing is that one of my co-workers also told me that I should write a book on cd. She would like to listen to a book I would write, but would not read it. She would also like me to be the one to narrate my book. Similar to that of John Hodgman - you all would know his as the PC in the Mac commercials - if you do not know him from his audio book.

Now, I need to determine if I should start writing my audio book - I could actually just start recording it. I am positive that I could talk for at least 2 hours about interesting topics. What are your thoughts...loyal readers...should I write or record an audio book?

I look forward to your responses!

Awesome idea! My suggestion - at the very least, organize your thoughts into some kind of an outline before you just start recording. Just from my experience writing songs - it's always easier to get everything laid out in front of you before you "go for it". :-p

I'm super-excited to read (or listen) to your book. :-)

You should DEFINITELY write an audiobook. That can be your money making idea and we can all say we knew you when...

Write a book. You have a lot of time(ha ha!) to spare with all your other activities.
Might be interesting. I agree with Nick organize before you start and get it all together to exhibit your best effort.

"Write" an audiobook just feels wierd to me. I guess you would write it and then read it, but still, it just doesn't sound right.

I think you should just keep a tape recorder with you and whenever you go off about something record it, then you can organize it into book form later. I think the randomness and "daily diary/deep thoughts by Lindsay" feel of it would be really cool.
