The Life and Times...

My friend adores the Chinese Proverb: May you live in interesting times. In fact, she too has that on her blog. I want to adopt it...We all definitely live in interesting times whether they are fabulous, exhausting or jinxed. No matter what, let us all live like there is "No Day but Today!"

I am back - refreshed and ready to go!

I know how much you all missed me - I am back so you can all startt smiling again! :)

Where to begin? The wedding weekend was a success. Amy looked perfect in her wedding white and I truly believe it was the happiest day that she had always dreamed of. She was a princess and they seemed extremely happy all day long. I am very happy for them and wish them the best in all to come!

Then we took off to Orlando with Tiff and Jonathan. Although I now feel we need a few days to relax from this vacation, we had a fabulous time. We were go go go all the time. Magic Kingdom (for 13 hours), Downtown Disney/Paradise Island and Cirque de Soleique(SP?), Sea World, Epcot and then topped things off with Universal Studios. This was a truly great vacation. We all go along very well and had such a great time with one another. AND...we can do it over and over and over because we bought a time share. It is so exciting. We are all "vacation owners"!!!!!

Then we drove all the way back to WV. TJ and I went to brunch with Amy and Brian this morning before we came back to Morgqantown. I realize that life isn't fair and we are all grown-ups now. I miss Amy already and she isn't even gone yet. It hurt this morning to say good-bye and I know she is coming back in a month. I know that makes her sad too because that means that Brian will be heading off to Qatar. I don't like being old - I want to go back to a time when there wasn't so much responsibility and no worries in the world.

Glad to be back - hope all went well on the Red Cross front while I was out. I will definitely let you all know tomorrow!

Adios!

And to think August WAS supposed to get better!

So - I had thought that August would bring in better days at work! Alas - not so much...

Toady I had my first blood drive in August BOMB. URGH! I feel so disappointed and sad. Why do people not want to give blood. I mean, I know it is scary and there are needles, but it truly isn't that bad. The finger prick hurts worse. The truth is, blood levels are critical and we ALL have a community responsibility to get on the bed and give the gift of life. One hour people - three lives saved and/or improved. I tried to give today, but my iron levels were down...they told me to eat more liver and onions, but since that WILL NEVER HAPPEN, I will stick to raisens and oatmeal. If you are a blood donor, good for you! If you aren't, I understand that not everyone wants or can donate. It is just aggrivating that I am

In other - nonwork related and happier - news...next week I will be in FL! I cannot wait to go to the Magic Kingdom. I so hope that the TIKI Birds and It's a Small World After All can turn my frown upside down! And fireworks...and Sea World...and Cirque De Solque...and ANYTHING BUT BLOOD DONATION TALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully I will be able to post more later this week - with no blood talk!

If anyone of you are the praying or willing type - please get on the blood drives improving, no rain in FL next week, no hurricanes or other natural disasters in FL next week as well, let Lindsay keep her job, and make her head go away!

OK, that should be all for now!
