The Life and Times...

My friend adores the Chinese Proverb: May you live in interesting times. In fact, she too has that on her blog. I want to adopt it...We all definitely live in interesting times whether they are fabulous, exhausting or jinxed. No matter what, let us all live like there is "No Day but Today!"

BLAH

That is how I feel. Blah. Crappy. Grumpy. Overwhelmed. Irritable. Annoyed. Icky. Unpleasant. Yucky. Unsympathetic. Generally Unpleasant.

Please, God...make it stop!

Funny Story

This is the conversation that I overheard leaving the gym yesterday:

Boy 1: So, yeah, where do you tan?
Boy 2: Too Dark Tanning.
Boy 1: I got ringworm there. Like their beds were dirty or something.
Boy 2: Ringworm?
Boy 1: Yeah, like a rash on my back.
Boy 2: Ew
Boy 1: So, I am looking for another place to get me tan on.

You should have seen them. All buff and working on their muscles for the "women" and talkign about their "tanning" habits.

Have a good one.

Newest Obsession

My birthday was almost a month ago now, however, I am still in love with my present from TJ! I got new Crocs. They are indeed my latest obsession. I am still waiting on my latest version (the Prima) but I do have on my pink Mary Janes today! If you have not bought a pair yet, RUN...no really, RUN out and get one or two pair of the most comfy shoes you will ever ever wear in your life!

In other news, I lost 6.5 pounds this week on the WW scale and 8 pounds on the home scale. I guess that is the difference between wearing clothing and not wearing clothing. I feel really good about it. I have now lost 61.5 pounds and got my 60 pound star today. YIPPEE! I am now 0.5 pounds away from my goal (not the big goal, the little one) which was 62 pounds. That is 20% of my original body weight! Thanks for all your support by the way!

Sniff, Sniff...Cough, Cough

I am on the mend. TJ took one look at me on Friday and said, "Get up, we are going to take you to the Doctor!" I did. I got 2 shots and 10 days worth of steroids and antibiotics. I also got myself some anti-nausea medication since all the drainage was bringing my tummy down too.

I feel better today. Finally...after the three day weekend. However, everyone at work says I still look flush and not great. THANKS! I will remember that next time you look like crap. Because that is really what that means - Hey, you look like poop! Great day, huh?!

I have had a rough month. Really, it seems like a really rough month behind me. I feel as though I must pick up and get with the program. I have not lost weight and I feel fat and icky. I figured out all of the numbers today as well. If I get back on the wagon hardcore and I lose 2 pounds per week, I can be at 200 pounds in 38.5 weeks. Now, with that being said, I will still have another 23 pounds to lose to get to goal, but I will be under 200 pounds and that was the goal for 2007. THERE ARE ONLY 40 WEEKS LEFT PEOPLE! We are already in week 12 of 2007! Can you believe that? So, time has been a wasting and I need to get back on it hard.

To the gym I will go tonight. I also want to get back into the routine of going to the gym in the morning. That frees up so much in the evenings and it will give TJ and I more time to play tennis, walk the dogs or go biking. THUS exercising many many times a week!

Wish me luck. I need your support. There, you have it...I am asking for help!

I hope the weather breaks soon. It is so dreary. I hope it is sunny wherever you are!

It's 9:07

And I am ready for bed. By the time I finish this post, it will be later than 9:07, but as soon as I am done, I will be seeing the numbered sheep.

I feel like I am in a "dark funk." A friend of mine at work says that they have been in a "dark funk" and I sure do know what she is talking about. I was speaking with Mookie tonight and she is also in a "dark funk." We are now the charter members of the dark funk club. If you feel like you may indeed be in a dark funk for any reason, please let me know and I will induct you into the group.

I keep thinking to myself that this all has to end sometime...not that life is bad by any means, but sometimes you simply think that everything has to turn sometime and start going more your way. I guess that is when you live in the moment and hope that everything does not take another turn for the worse.

And I feel like I am getting a cold.

Now, at 9:13pm, I am going to bed.

I hope all of you are happy and healthy and flossing and not in a dark funk!

Hola

Hi All -

I am sorry I have been MIA for a while. As per normal, but anyway. I have a lot to fill you all in on.

First and foremost, I am not ready for a 2 and 4 year old at the same time. Last weekend, our niece and nephew came in to visit and they are a definite handful to say the least. Then TJ took them home and came back with a puppy. Her name is Blue which is confusing. SHE IS A GIRL! Girl doggies cannot be named Blue, but she is not our dog. TJ is simply training her for Jeremy and Michelle.

Michelle, by the way, is doing better. She is still on the respirator, but we hope that they begin removing her from it over the weekend or early next week. She will then still have about 2 weeks in the hospital for observation and rehab type activities. Maybe a little less though. From what I understand, they will have to remove all of the tubes before they remove her from the respirator. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers over the past few weeks. They are working!

So, what have I learned from the whole Michelle experience? Two things actually. 1 - It amazes me that people think dental health is optional. HELLO, it can kill you or come damn close, so go see your dentist. If you are in Morgantown and need a good one, go see Dr. Jann Barber on Collins Ferry Road. She is great - even with children in case you are wondering. (I will charge for that advertisement at a later date, Jann! :)
2 - BRUSH YOUR TEETH and FLOSS! I always brushed my teeth, but I have always been a fair-weather flosser. Not any longer though. I floss every day and have for the past week.

Also, I saw the movie Zodiac in the theater on Tuesday night. It is fun to go to the movie on Tuesday, because you can bring any type of container and they fill it up with pop-corn for you. HUGE containers for only $.50. Very exciting. The movie was very good and very long. No, really, 2 hours and 40 minutes PLUS previews and pre-movie advertisements. I thought the cast was good and it is an interesting story. Scary, obviously, because it is true.

In other news, this is the last week of IMC 614, which means that I am practically done with this class and only have the Campaigns class left. This is the capstone course and commences on Monday. Monday should be a good day. It is TJ and my 10 year anniversary. Not marriage people! Dating! Wow - that is a long time, but I would not trade it for anything. He is great and I am uber-lucky to have him in my life! I do not know what I would do without him. (I LOVE YOU! :)

Well, it was good seeing you all. Thanks for stopping by! I will return shortly!
