The Life and Times...

My friend adores the Chinese Proverb: May you live in interesting times. In fact, she too has that on her blog. I want to adopt it...We all definitely live in interesting times whether they are fabulous, exhausting or jinxed. No matter what, let us all live like there is "No Day but Today!"

Shining Light...

You are asking yourself what this title has to do with anything...well, it is to shine some light on a few things...

Light one - I HAVE THE WORSE LUCK EVER! I need to be working on my paper right now...but, alas, I am not due to an unexpected server problem. As it turns out, the server that runs the vista site (where I do all of my class work) was taken down by a freak power outage. QUESTION - Why do they not have a generator or backup power source? HELLO...we all have work to do. In fact, it is due on Christmas day and I am not finished. I am going to now have to work on this tomorrow and Friday from the big B. I refuse to actually do homework on Christmas Eve or Day!

Light two - There is someone in my office that is slimey and gross. They lie, backstab, cut throat and snoop around. I do not like them and they give me the willies! I do not feel comfy around them. I wish they would take up with all other employees and go a head and find new employeement. It is obvious that I won't be doing that for a while.

Light three - For all of you who also read Mookie's blog, I feel the need to expand upon the paper mache weapons post. This is true. Prisoners can in fact make weapons out of toilet paper. And, yes, they can stab into the body. Also, this same toilet paper can be made into rope...heavy enough to hang wet clothing - and bodies as some prisoners make toilet paper ropes to hang themselves. Some are trying to kill themselves (these are the prisoners who put large knots on each side of the adams apple) and some just want to get out if their cell for a while. This same rope can be used to escape and then prisoners burn the rope behind them. Now, lets put this in context - each cell is issued a roll of toilet paper at a time - only one. In order to get new toilet paper, the prisoners have to turn in the cardboard roll in exchange for a full roll of toilet paper. Also, the prisons have a formula that tells them about how often each cell should go through a roll. With this in mind, can you imagine how long it would take to make a toilet paper rope? I guess they have the time!

Hey everyone - have a great Christmas...and New Year if I miss you between now and then!

So long since we spoke

Hello All - I am so sorry I have been gone for so long - it really hasn't been forever, but it sure feels like it!

1 - BON JOVI ROCKS! They were great! My only complaint was that our set did not include Always :(. However, it was - most definitely the best concert I have seen in a long time...maybe the best ever!

2 - All the Christmas wrapping is DONE! Thanks AME!!!!! You have no idea how much you have helped me with your wrapping creativity!!! Also, the "fabalous" (hehe) Mrs Hard also took all of the big presents home to Momma and Pappa Hambric's house. This helps us out so much and I promise Trinity and Gizmo are way excited about having space in the car on the way home for the holidays!

3 - WORK STILL SUCKS! It is so lose lose...never win win! I want to like it and I want to be happy here. I really do. I just continually get disappointed - people never do what they say they will...people sign up to give blood and then just don't show up, sponsors tell you one thing just to appease you and then do not follow through, people talk out of both sides of their mouths. All in all, I guess it isn't much different than every other job in the world! People lie, whether white or not, people tell you want you want to hear whether the truth or not.

Ok, so...that is all now. I could go on and on, but ALAS...I will not bore you with this diatribe.

Shot through the heart and your to blame

You give love a bad name!!!!!! WHOOOOO HOOOOOO! Guess what happens tomorrow?!!?!?!? Bon Jovi live in concert at the Mellon Arena. And for a measly $132.00 (plus a crap load of fees x2 but we won't talk about that)we get to see them from 16 rows back!

It is a good day. Not just good - grood! I am in a great mood. Tonight, TJ and I are going to do the Christmas decoration thing :)!!!! And then tomorrow we are going to see Bon Jovi and then - well, then the week just goes on and on, but I am hopeful for a good second half to go along with the first!

In other bright and exciting news - The 'Eers push on to the SUGAR BOWL!!!!! I can't wait. This is so exciting. I just kinda wish we weren't meeting Georgia in Georgia. Too bad Katrina had to come through and crap on a trip to New Orleans!

Toodaloo - Linz:)
