The Life and Times...

My friend adores the Chinese Proverb: May you live in interesting times. In fact, she too has that on her blog. I want to adopt it...We all definitely live in interesting times whether they are fabulous, exhausting or jinxed. No matter what, let us all live like there is "No Day but Today!"

Audio Book by Yours Truly...

I have been saying that I am going to write a book. I am not sure if I can actually write a book like some of my friends could, but I like to say I am going to try. It seems to me that I might be too ADHD (even though I do not have that) to sit down and write a quality book.

The other day, however, TJ told me I should write a book on cd - or an audio book. He, obviously, was just joking. The weird thing is that one of my co-workers also told me that I should write a book on cd. She would like to listen to a book I would write, but would not read it. She would also like me to be the one to narrate my book. Similar to that of John Hodgman - you all would know his as the PC in the Mac commercials - if you do not know him from his audio book.

Now, I need to determine if I should start writing my audio book - I could actually just start recording it. I am positive that I could talk for at least 2 hours about interesting topics. What are your thoughts...loyal readers...should I write or record an audio book?

I look forward to your responses!

Strange Food Addictions

I have recently had a huge deisre to eat hot food. No really, HOT food. I want Sheetz wrapz with jalepenos on it. I want cayanne pepper on my chicken tenders. I put hot sauce on everything. This is actually extremely strange because I have never liked super hot foods like this - and now I am craving them.

Furthermore, I was in the gym this evening and a guy had on a t-shirt that I totally related to. It said, "I eat ketchup with my ketchup". DUDE, ME TOO! I have wanted ketchup on everything. This is strange too, because I cannot actually eat things that you usually put ketchup on, aka french fries. However, I use it on my chicken tenders, "fake" fried potatoes, Morningstar Farms burgers of all types, turkey burgers, baked potatoes...the list goes on and on!

I wonder what changed so drastically and all of a sudden? How strange!

Hope all is well! Linz :)

Interesting Times...Indeed

Hi readers. I am so sorry to keep you wondering what is going on in the Life and Times of Yours Truly!

I know I promised a recap of Christmas and New Years, but I now also feel that the time has past for such a recap. I will give you this...Christmas was longer this year...it seemed. We spent a lot of time driving to different places to visit different family member. Those who know me are now thinking..."What is so different about this Christmas?" We also had to add in visits to see Grandpa H in the hospital. (No worries, he is out now and doing much better.) I would assume that we spent more than 1/2 of our holiday in a car. Maybe that is an exaggeration, but it did feel like we spent a lot of time driving to visit.

New Years was great. We went to Jacksonville, FL for the Gator Bowl. It was sad in one sense though because my parents were unable to come due to Grandpa still being in the hospital, but we did still have fun. We watched the most amazing fireworks at exactly midnight. We were so close to them that there were ashes falling on our heads. And of course, the next day, we pulled through a victory and won the Gator Bowl! FINALLY! Let's Go 'EERS!

In other news, I have now lost 52 pounds, I am participating in 2 biggest loser contests, I am in my last class before the capstone course for my Masters, I am working to get my brokers license, Trinity had to have surgery AGAIN yesterday (which cancelled our trip to MD to see Jonathan and Tiffany), I am working on a Saturday morning because the agent forgot to come to work, and...

Now that you are all caught up...I can tell you about the Interesting Times...Indeed. First of all, I got a call this morning from an agent who went on a listing presentation. The lady specifically asked for this agent. When the agent was going through the house, she went into a room where a college kid was getting a blow job. No one seemed to mind that she had opened the door and walked in on this. Weird! Then, a guy came to the door to drop off a sellers disclosure statement. Not all too weird, this happens, HOWEVER, he had a bird - like a parrot - on his shoulder. Then, I read what his name is and, as it turns out, he is the oldest son of my Freshman year Resident Faculty Leaders. I thought he looked familiar, just more grown up. As it turns out, he has had 2 tours of duty in Iraq. Everyone knew he would end up in the military OR in military school! I am glad to see that he has turned out well.

Anywho, now you all know. All six of you faithful readers! :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend - keep warm out there - Linz
